“It was everything I needed. I don’t even have the words to say how happy I am,” says Elisangela.

We join our Brazilian partner SEMEANDO and local families as they celebrate the 1-year anniversary since the opening of the newly renovated Prestes Maia building in São Paulo.

Following a 23-year struggle, SEMEANDO helped turn Latin America’s largest occupied building into a legally owned building providing safe and dignified housing to around 287 formerly homeless families with a focus on women and children.

Without your long-term support, achievements like this would not have been possible. Thank you, and please join us in this celebration! 💚
