Groundwork London is a social and environmental regeneration charity that creates and delivers programmes and projects aimed at:

(1) Improving people’s prospects – delivering support to increase the confidence, skills, well-being and employability of those furthest removed from the labour market, in particular young people;

(2) Promoting greener living and working – helping people and businesses learn more about their environmental impact and act responsibly to reduce natural resource use and improve their health;

(3) Creating better places – supporting people to work collectively to make their surroundings greener, safer and healthier and be actively involved in the way decisions are made about services in their area.

A team of volunteers is needed at Fields Estate, Hackney on Thursday 29th October 2026.

Employee volunteers will create areas for food growing, install a new garden sign, and enhance habitats for wildlife! Help make this beautiful garden even more welcoming and accessible.

A team of volunteers is also needed at Jack Dunning Estate on any Tuesday or Thursday in November 2026…

Your employees will garden, build raised flower beds and… Complete a fantastic water catchment system!

We’re proud to be part of Green Horizons, a new four-year, £1.5 million programme putting Disabled people at the heart of climate action across London.

Green Horizons brings together environmental, disability and co-production expertise, working with Disabled people and Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations to co-produce and test new approaches to:

- Climate action and urban greening
- Community leadership
- Participatory grants
- Training and peer learning
- Accessible digital tools
- More inclusive climate policy and practice

Disabled people are not just affected by climate change. They are leaders, innovators and partners in creating the solutions.
