✨ Jedna školska godina je iza nas, puna učenja, druženja i lijepih uspomena! 📚❤️
U subotu smo u Bosanskoj dopunskoj školi London, Westminster, svečano obilježili završetak školske godine i našim vrijednim učenicima uručili uvjerenja i priznanja za njihov trud i zalaganje. 🎓👏 Žao nam je što osam naših učenika nije bilo s nama, ali radujemo se skorom druženju! ❤️

Uz sunčano vrijeme, dječiju igru, osmijehe, kafu i neizostavne bosanske specijalitete, proveli smo divan dan zajedno. ☀️☕🥧🇧🇦
Veliko hvala našim učenicima, roditeljima, volonterima i gostima koji su svojim prisustvom i podrškom učinili ovaj dan posebnim. 💙
A najljepša vijest? U novoj školskoj godini raste naš broj učenika🌱📖, i radujemo se.

✨”Between East and West” book remains a timeless call for moral courage, intellectual renewal, and the human search for meaning. President Alija Izetbegović understood leadership as vision, pragmatism, and hope, knowing when to step forward and when to step aside. He embodied the truth behind Napoleon’s insight that “a leader is a dealer in hope.” 📚 ✍️ 🇧🇦

Hosted by The Cordoba Foundation, the official London book launch of Islam Between East and West brought together scholars, academics, diplomats, and community representatives in a hall filled to capacity. ☺️

The revised English edition drew extraordinary interest — the book sold out within minutes, and Sabina Berberović, daughter of President Izetbegović, personally signed copies for attendees. Speakers included Sabina Berberović, Shaykh Prof. Abdal Hakim Murad, Dr Admir Mulaosmanović, Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi, Sarah Joseph OBE, Dr Wajid Akhter, and Ambassador H.E. Osman Topčagić, each offering profound reflections on Izetbegović’s legacy and the enduring relevance of his thought. 📚 🌟🇧🇦

The evening concluded with a heartfelt prayer by Sedin Šahman, Bosnian imam, grounding the event in remembrance as we mark the 31st anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. A moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed responsibility, to lead with vision, to act with courage, and to serve with purpose.🕊️🇧🇦

Such an inspiring evening, reflecting the power of doing good and working toward a better future for all humankind.🕊️

With gratitude to our hosts for the invitation. 🙏

This morning, the Srebrenica remembrance flag was raised in Greenwich, marking a powerful moment of unity and reflection. 🙏

The event was honoured by Mayor David Gardner, representatives of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, members of local interfaith communities, and Bosnian community members Ahmet Hadžić, Mirsad Bakalović, and Šejla Sirčo, who joined together in remembering the victims and reaffirming our shared responsibility to uphold peace.🕊️🇧🇦

Our sincere thanks to the Royal Borough of Greenwich for marking this meaningful day and standing with us in preserving the truth and memory of Srebrenica.

We remember — so that it never happens again.🕊️

💡 Yesterday, we stood together in dignity as we honoured the victims of the Srebrenica genocide, carrying their memory with solemn respect. Our Bosnian community shared deeply personal journeys of survival, displacement, and the long road toward rebuilding life here. 🏡

From these painful histories, ❤️‍🩹 a new generation is learning. Through heartfelt recitals, music, and spoken reflections, our young people showed that hope can be rebuilt. Their voices reminded us that humanity’s strength lies in compassion, solidarity, and the courage to create a better world. 🕊️🌍

🤲🙏 We honour Srebrenica with the promise that it will never be forgotten and that genocide must never happen again.

🙏 Our sincere thanks to Remembering Srebrenica for organising this meaningful and impactful event.

Love ❤️
