Last week, we visited two fantastic schools in Rochdale and Birmingham with the Young BAFTA Roadshow! 🎉

Alongside introducing students to the exciting world of film, TV and games, our celebrity hosts Ben Shires and Shanequa Paris were inspired by the compassion and creativity of every pupil they met.

From asking insightful questions to sharing aspirations, the students we visited reminded us why it is important to continue creating space for young people to be heard and supported. 💛

When a child is struggling, the whole family feels it. But with the right support, families can find hope again and children can thrive.

Through our 'Lifting Families, Changing Lives' appeal, we’re raising funds to support parents and carers alongside their children, because lasting change happens when families are supported together.

Our Family Practitioners work alongside parents and carers to rebuild confidence, strengthen relationships, and create brighter futures.

Will you help us bring that support to more families? 🌱

We are delighted to announce our upcoming Arts & Minds Gala dinner, sponsored by LAVA Advisory Partners, will be hosted by the acclaimed actor and mental health advocate David Harewood OBE on Thursday, 18 June 2026, at Smith Square Hall. 💛

David is a performer of remarkable depth and a powerful voice, both on stage and off. He recently completed a celebrated run in the titular role of Othello in London’s West End, opposite Toby Jones and is known for screen work spanning major TV and film productions, including Supergirl, The Man in the High Castle, Homeland and Blood Diamond. In 2024, David was appointed President of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and is also widely recognised for his powerful documentary work, including Psychosis and Me and Will Britain Ever Have a Black Prime Minister?

We’re delighted that David will be hosting Arts & Minds. This special Gala Dinner brings together guests to celebrate and shine a light on the role that creative expression has on mental health, all while raising vital funds for Place2Be’s work in schools.

The evening will also feature stunning vocal performances from the Royal Ballet and Opera artists alongside artwork produced by children in collaboration with Place2Be champion Xavier Leopold and voices from our partner schools.

Our thanks to our generous headline sponsors LAVA Advisory Partners, to our sponsors Marshall Wace, Bloomberg and Mars UK, and to all those who have given their support to Arts & Minds 2026.
