why I chose to advocate for naturism ?
I grew up in a culture where a woman’s body was rarely her own. It was something to be hidden, judged, and controlled, as if modesty could be measured in square inches of fabric. From an early age, I learned to navigate a world where the body was a source of shame rather than pride, where freedom was defined by the rules others set for you.
When I first discovered naturism, it was not just about being without clothes. It was about stripping away the layers of fear, judgment, and self-doubt that had been wrapped around me since childhood. In naturism, I saw a philosophy that said every body is equal, every body is worthy, and every body is natural. It spoke to a truth I had always felt deep inside: that dignity and respect come not from hiding ourselves, but from embracing ourselves as we are.
Choosing to become an advocate was not easy. I knew the risks, the misunderstandings, the criticism, even the hostility. But I also knew that silence is the strongest ally of oppression. If I could share my journey, maybe someone else would find the courage to question the shame they were taught. Maybe a woman who had been taught to hate her reflection could finally see herself as whole and beautiful.
For me, naturism is not rebellion for the sake of rebellion. It is a reclaiming of my body, my identity, and my voice. It is a declaration that I will not be defined by fear or by the limitations imposed on me. And if my story can challenge just one person to see the human body not as a source of shame, but as a symbol of our shared humanity, then every risk will have been worth it.
