We are a women-led charity spearheading sustainable development projects internationally

Global One is a UK based charity founded in October 2013 when a group of driven and passionate women led by Dr Husna Ahmad OBE recognised that there was a need for more Muslim women to come forward as changemakers in positions of leadership in the third sector. In particular more Muslim women, who are too often considered to be sidelined and disempowered. Global One is therefore proud to have a majority women board, and a platform that gives diverse women from all backgrounds the opportunity to lead the organisation.

Happy International Day of Peace! 🕊🕊
Today, we reflect on our interconnectedness. Peace is not just the absence of conflict-it is caring for our Earth, uplifting one another, and ensuring that no one is left behind. When we extend kindness, empathy, and service, we give others the courage to walk alongside us.Together, we can Invest in Peace - For Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.

“If we want to flourish, if we want to succeed, we need to understand that we only have one planet, and each and every one of us has a duty and a responsibility. If you put your hand out, other people will reach for that hand and walk with you.” — Dr. Husna Ahmad OBE, CEO of Global One

A careful listen. A thorough examination. Dignified care that protects a lifetime.

Today is World Patient Safety Day 2026, marked globally under the call: "Safe care for life!"

Up to 80% of harm in primary healthcare is preventable. In fragile and frontline settings, protecting patients begins with clinical discipline, taking the time to listen, ensuring diagnostic precision, and adhering to strict safety protocols for every patient who walks through our doors.

True patient safety belongs in every clinic, in every community, and across every stage of life. 🩺🧡

This disaster didn't start in Nepal—but its communities are bearing the greatest burden.

Following devastating glacial floods, thousands of families have lost their homes, farmland, and access to clean water. While local responders work tirelessly on the ground, Global One is actively mobilising emergency funding, relief supplies, and logistical aid to support frontline efforts.

We cannot leave vulnerable communities to face climate-fueled disasters alone.
