Character development
I am fully persuaded to believe and know that character is the foundation of who you are that manifests when titles, money, and recognition are removed. As you can see here that Character is built through daily choices, especially in moments when shortcuts look tempting. Money does not make you, but it reveals your character and who you are. I find it necessary and do regret terribly regret for that matter to inform you that it takes 30 years to build a reputation coupled with a character of your own but takes one day to lose it. Careful who you hang out with, therefore. Do watch carefully where you go. Be vigilant therefore, I beg of you because there are vipers and opportunists out there who stand in wait to ruin your very last bit of your character.
Strong character is not loud. It is consistent. It shows honesty, responsibility, and respect toward others. People may forget your achievements, but they never forget how you made them feel, and it is what it is. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives, friends. I therefore consider it to be fit and proper that you should perhaps and should you choose to, to focus on what you can do daily, not what you can’t change instantly.
When pressure increases, character is tested. Therefore, let go of people you keep fixing but who never change. Difficult situations reveal integrity, patience, and emotional control. These qualities build trust, and trust creates long term influence. Furthermore, accept that closure rarely comes, peace does however, when you elect to move on in circumstances where closure is denied. Remember, fame and power should never make one look down on people but should make the celeb see themselves through the circumstances of the ones who are still at the bottom of the ladder.
Stop expecting life to be fair, adjust and adapt instead. If you protect your character, you protect your future. Forgive, not because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace. That said, success built on weak character collapses quickly, thus, choose consistency over intensity, success is sweeter and best when it is built quietly. Moreover, hard work, patience, and consistency are the very characteristics that make one successful.
It is my humble opinion therefore, that you should build yourself first so that everything else will follow suit. If at any rate you are struggling to make ends meet, live below your means, debt is a modern form of slavery.
