The friends are pleased to announce the return of the Under the Arches Christmas Market.
After the success of last year we are really looking forward to welcoming you all again .
We are almost full up with stall holders but we have a few pitches spare still available (message us direct)

ARNOS PARK WILDLIFE WALK – SUN 04-OCT-2026 – 11AM TO 12:30PM

This Sunday 04-Oct-2026 Friends of Arnos Park is running a brief tour of some of the wildlife habitats we maintain in the east of the park, including the ancient woodland and wildflower meadow.

This will be a great opportunity to learn how these areas are managed and find out about their wildlife, history and folklore.

Please note:
• Children under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• The ground may be uneven in places, so please wear suitable footwear
• We may call the event off in case of heavy rain or lightning

Your guides on the day will be myself - Matthew Pierce - and Esther Smith. This free event is open to everyone. Please meet at 11am by the Morton Way gates. We will hope to see a few of you on Sunday.

Good evening Arnos Parker’s
Great turnout from the volunteers today (sorry if I didn’t get a picture of you)
We planted 7new fruit trees in the community garden which were kindly donated by B and Q and facilitated by Caroline one of our dog walkers.
We started shifting the big pile of chippings and tended some of the flower beds .
We collected several bags of litter which were cleared by the council .
Huge amount work clearing years of overgrowth down by the arches and agility area .
Big shoutout to Dave ,Gary and Bavinder .
Cllr Pratt also paid us a visit on his ward round as we had concerns for a rough sleeper .
Great day all round.

Good evening Arnos Parker’s
Volunteer day this Saturday if you are free to help .
Our main focus this week will be working up and around the dog agility area and arches .
We will be cutting back various areas of overgrown brambles ,thinning out ,cutting grass And litter picking.
Meet at 10am by the tennis courts.
For those who prefer to work in the community garden we need to plant some trees and shift some wood chippings .
Whatever your ability I’m sure we will have a job for you .
Looking forward to seeing you .

Come and try one of his wonderful coffees,teas ,soft drinks or cakes .
It’s a great addition to our park and he would be delighted if you paid him a visit .
