“The Supreme Court settled a significant legal question. But it did not undo the policies, practices and assumptions built up while activists were funded to take over institutions. After years chipping away at the law, Calder and Smith have come to realise that the ideological war is still raging.”

“The litigation was almost the straightforward bit,” says Smith. “Unpicking everything that has grown up around this is going to take much longer. It’s like knotweed. You pull at one bit and discover how far the roots have spread.”

"Women’s rights campaigners have won a legal guarantee that the Scottish government’s transgender prison guidance can never be implemented again." 🥳

"O’Neill, said earlier this year that women prisoners were being “gas lit” and used as “pawns”. He said: “There are trans-identifying males who have been housed and continue to be housed in the women’s estate who were, in 2013, convicted of murder."

A spokeswoman for FWS said: “We felt it was important the guidance was quashed so that fresh policies start from first principles and take into account the full implication of this ruling as well as that of the Supreme Court. We are pleased that there is no chance that the old guidance can sneak back in any guise.”

Encouraging men to "chestfeed" is child abuse and we hope highlighting this issue will cause Angela Constance to reconsider funding a charity that promotes such unscientific and harmful practices

Campaign group Women Rights Network Scotland has written to the SNP Government's Health Secretary to demand she review public funding for a charity which offers sessions for men to breastfeed babies.

Susan Smith, a director of For Women Scotland, said the fact the group was “actively and openly encouraging the sinister idea that men can breastfeed, using public money, will rightly sicken taxpayers”.

We agree, it is astonishing that public money is funding “Queer Milk” while the needs of the child are treated as an afterthought.
Biological males cannot produce the milk a baby needs to develop healthily. Infants are not props for adult identity.
When organisations put ideology first and the child second, they have failed in their most basic duty. What ever happened to safeguarding and do no harm?
