Future Dreams Future Dreams was started in 2008 by mother and daughter Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie.

We offer a wide range of in-person and online services providing practical, emotional and psychological support for those diagnosed with breast cancer, fund vital secondary breast cancer research, and promote breast health awareness. By a cruel twist of fate, they were both diagnosed with Breast Cancer, Danielle just 35 and a mother of 3 young children. Tragically both women lost their lives to the disease within a year of each other in 2009. Since 2008 we have continued their legacy to raise over £6.5m for support, awareness and research.

This Mental Health Awareness Day we're highlighting the psychological impact of Breast Cancer. We know when breast cancer treatment ends, the impact doesn't simply disappear. Future Dreams has made headlines with research shining a light on the reality of life after breast cancer treatment and the challenges many people continue to face long after their hospital appointments end.

At Future Dreams, we believe support shouldn't stop when treatment does. Whether you're looking for practical advice, emotional support or a community that truly understands, we're here for you online and in person at Future Dreams House.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is everywhere this October...the pink ribbons, campaigns, fundraisers. Whilst we know it's a powerful time to raise awareness and vital funds, we also get that when you're living with breast cancer, it can also feel like a lot.

If this month feels overwhelming rather than empowering, that's okay too. You don't have to feel inspired by it. You don't have to take part in it. You just have to get through it, in whatever way works for you.

Future Dreams is here for you all year round ,not just in October. Whenever you need us, we're here.

We can't believe it's been over a week since our Future 5 Lunch!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Savoy: to our guests, our sponsors, our speakers who shared their stories with such honesty, and everyone who bid, donated and celebrated with us on the day. Together, we raised vital funds for everyone touched by breast cancer.

We celebrated Carly Moosah, winner of the Lightning Bolt Award in Honour of Nicky Newman, and Claire Paxman, winner of our Humanitarian Award, sponsored by Cleveland Clinic London. We heard from Perm and Benisha, a mother and daughter whose story reminded us exactly why this community matters.

Every table booked and every pound raised goes straight back into Future Dreams House, keeping our doors open for the people who need us most.

We know Breast Cancer Awareness Month can feel a little overwhelming. That’s why we’ve put together a few specially selected days at the House to help you step away from the noise and do something for you.

From movement and mindfulness to crafting and creativity, there’s something for everyone.

If you’ve never visited the House before, this is a lovely way to get to know the space and try out some of the classes and workshops we offer.

Our Clinical Breast Care Nurse Specialists, Bernie Trench and Jackie Wright, each have years of NHS experience and bring warmth, knowledge and time to everyone who needs them at Future Dreams.

Drop your breast cancer-related questions in the comments below. We'll pick a selection for Bernie and Jackie to answer in future short videos, which we'll share across our social media channels. Chances are, someone else has been wondering the same thing.
