🎉 This week is the 42nd annual Volunteers' Week and we want to give a special shoutout to three incredible akt volunteers who have gone above and beyond💜
🎇 Daniel (he/him) has been volunteering with akt for 3 years as a Fundraising Event Volunteer in London. Alongside running his own marketing agency, he has generously shared his expertise to help create a new corporate fundraising pack and, more recently, designed a fantastic suite of akt values assets.
🎇 Brian (they/them) has volunteered with akt for over 6 years, progressing from Fundraising Event Volunteer to Lead Volunteer. This year they've become part of our first mentoring match in London, and it's been inspiring to see their volunteer journey continue to evolve as they prepare to start a Social Work degree next year.
🎇 Nancy (she/her) has also volunteered with akt for more than 6 years. After stepping back from events due to work commitments, she's recently returned with great energy, supporting Pride Kit creation for young people and getting involved in upcoming corporate volunteering activities.
📢 Volunteers' Week 2026 feels especially significant for us as it has been designated by the UN as the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development. Thank you to Daniel, Brian, Nancy, and all of our volunteers for the time, skills and passion you bring to akt every day. 💜
