The group will meet for seven sessions across the year, running from 13 October 2026 - 7th July 2027, to discuss children's literature and share ideas to inspire readers in schools.

Picturebooks are an important genre of literature for children of all ages and not just a step on the route to chapter books.

CLPE in partnership with UCL Centre for Educational Leadership, are running the NPQLL (The National Professional Qualification for Leading Literacy) and the NPQEYL (The National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership).

These NPQ's will be fully-funded for eligible schools and there is opportunity to self-fund if not.
