After more than two years, the CMA’s investigation into the UK veterinary services market has now concluded, with Final Orders published in September.
But what did we do during the investigation, and what difference did it make?
Our work helped see 28 proposed remedies reduced to 18, with the final remedies significantly changed or pared back to make them more workable. We also helped shift the focus towards animal welfare, contextualised care and the vet-client-patient relationship, while challenging negative perceptions of the profession and helping move the media narrative towards fairer, more balanced coverage.
These are just some of the highlights. Our report sets out the full story of what BVA did, and the difference it made for the profession.
