Day 2 of 📢
Don’t forget to complete our Swift Surveys!
Will Creasy from the Paediatric Anaesthetists in Training Research Network (PATRN) highlights two important surveys running this year.
Your input can make a real difference in improving our understanding of:
🔹 The use of ultrasound for caudal blocks
🔹 Decision-making around same-day cancellation of children with upper respiratory tract symptoms (“snotty kids”)
Every response helps build the evidence base and informs future practice. Thank you for taking a few minutes to contribute!

What a fantastic morning at ! 👏
We've heard thought-provoking talks on equity and access to healthcare for children and young people, the organisation of neonatal surgical services, and the future of paediatric anaesthetic training. The morning continued with fascinating airway sessions, including central airway disease and advanced airway analytics.
Alongside the main stage programme, delegates enjoyed parallel sessions covering APAGBI resident doctor updates, RCoA curriculum for paediatric anaesthesia, and opportunities through the Paediatric Anaesthetists in Training Research Network (PATRN).
We were also delighted to host the first Lifestyle Medicine workshop at the ASM, bringing together delegates from the UK, New Zealand and Australia. The session explored how lifestyle medicine can help us support children and families to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life—helping our patients to live happier, healthier lives.
A huge thank you to all our speakers, chairs and delegates for making this such an engaging, collaborative and inspiring meeting so far. ☕️📚✨
