We're CHIPS - Christian peacemakers living in the heart of conflict for over 60 years.

CHIPS teams work to build and rebuild relationships which have been broken by conflict, by undertaking practical projects serving all communities involved. The teams, drawn from all sides of the conflict, live, eat, pray and work together in the heart of the conflict area as a living example of God's peace in their communities.

It’s back to school time!

We’re getting back into the school groove at CHIPS.

Our Youth Experience Club (YEC) has started up again, providing a safe, supportive place for young people to gather after school.

We’re still looking for funding to run our in-school projects this Autumn.

School isn’t just a place to learn; for many young people, it is a crucial space where they can feel safe and supported.

In Ghana, CHIPS provides fundamental sanitation products and feminine hygiene products, to ensure that all children have the resources to make attending school possible.

Our in-school projects aim to reach more young people at school, and to do this we are asking for your support this Autumn.

60 years is something worth celebrating!

60 years ago, CHIPS began its mission of meeting conflict and division with peace and reconciliation. It’s been a long journey to our 60th anniversary. One thing has remained consistent after all of those years though - from Cyprus, to Northern Ireland, to the Philippines, and India, to Uganda and Ghana, all the way back to the UK - at the core of every project is our mission of a lasting peace, rooted in Jesus’ example.

We think that’s something worth celebrating, and we would love for you to celebrate with us.

📢 We’re hiring! Fundraising & Communications Officer

As CHIPS enters the next chapter of our story following our 60th anniversary year, we’re looking for a creative and proactive fundraiser to help us grow our income and share the story of our peacemaking work in Brixton and Northern Ghana.

This is a 2–3 day per week role for someone with at least 1–2 years’ fundraising experience who is confident with communications. You’ll have the opportunity to develop individual giving, support grant applications and fundraising campaigns, build relationships with supporters, and create engaging newsletters, website content and social media.

If you’re passionate about peacebuilding, enjoy working in a small and ambitious charity, and want to help CHIPS build a sustainable future, we’d love to hear from you.

📍 Brixton, London / flexible working
⏰ 2–3 days per week (50% FTE)
💷 £27,000–£32,000 FTE, depending on experience

It’s been all systems GO this summer at CHIPS Brixton!

Summer in the UK has been a scorcher, but that hasn’t stopped us from taking advantage of every minute. Volleyball, Go-Karting, Laser Quest - every week there’s been a new and and action packed adventure.

Volleyball proved to be the surprise hit of the summer so far - teamwork, collaboration and outdoor physical activity were a winning combo. Summer is the perfect time to get out and try new things, and CHIPS Trips Off Endz makes that happen.

Summer isn’t quite over yet and we’ve still got a few more trips to go, so stay tuned!

August Ghana Update!

It has been an incredibly productive summer for the CHIPS team in Ghana.

The women's mixed tribe crops group, supported by CHIPS, has been busy tending to their crops through the wet season.

The Credit Union has been very active, reviewing its productivity whilst also training up the Union’s Board and subcommittees.

Our Natural Medicine and Child Malnutrition lead, Timothy, is continuing weekly sessions where parents bring their children to be weighed and receive food.

CHIPS hosted a Community Animal Health Worker refresher training course to care for and vaccinate farmer’s animals. Farming is an incredibly important source of income for many Ghanaian families, and making sure that their animals are healthy allows communities a secure form of food and income.

Especially important this month is the CHIPS Ghana strategic planning sessions that are underway. These sessions are key to CHIPS’ overall strategic mission and are the future direction of CHIPS Ghana’s work, following our external evaluation by Seek Peace.

This week, our Director, Alex, is delighted to be representing CHIPS at a consultation hosted by , helping shape a new curriculum exploring what it means to disciple in a divided world.

It's been inspiring to spend time with practitioners and theologians asking challenging questions about how Christian assumptions, frameworks and worldviews can either help or hinder the work of building peace. These conversations are stretching our thinking, and we're excited to bring these insights into future CHIPS training and resources.

We're also grateful to be gathering in Northern Ireland, hosted by - a place with its own powerful story of reconciliation, where the ongoing work of peacebuilding continues to offer hope and learning for us all.

School’s out and summer holidays are officially here!!! 🌞🌞🌞

To kick off the summer holidays, CHIPS organised a family beach day at Joss Bay on the Kent coast. Families from Brixton got to spend a fun day at the beach swimming, trampolining, building sandcastles and just generally enjoying the beach-y summer vibes.

The beach is just the start though when it comes to our exciting summer plans at CHIPS. Every week we will have a new trip, taking our young people from Brixton to make the most of London in the summer 🕶️ ⛱️.
