Ebony Horse Club raises the education and aspirations of young people growing up in Brixton, South London, through horse riding.

Ebony Horse Club is a charity improving the life skills, education and aspirations of children and young people growing up in deprived communities in Brixton, South London, by providing access to horse riding, outdoor activities and mentoring.

🏆 This weekend some of our amazing young people spent 2 days learning all about showing. They put so much work into learning how to care for and plait their manes and tails and we think they did an amazing job! 👏 They absolutely smashed the dressage tests they learnt, and we’re so proud of their hard work 💚 Make sure you swipe to enjoy Ronnies post-show perm 😂 We think it suits him!

Our favourite day of the year! 💕 Those of you who have followed Ebony for a while will know just how special Allegra's Ambition is to us 💕 We’re so lucky that every year so many brilliant people bring along their ponies for us to have the best day ever in the countryside 🐴 Thank you to all of the volunteers who give their time, horses & lots of cake 🧁 And a very special thanks to Lucy, who makes this all possible ❣️ We love you all, thank you for such a special day!

⭐️ Not only do we have a very talented team of young people and ponies, we’ve also got some very talented staff members 💕 Theo joined us on work experience a couple of years ago, and never left! 👏 He now works with our horses and has just passed his British Horse Society Stage 1! 🥇 We’re so proud of Theo… Stage 2 next! 😉

💚 Swipe for a wholesome start to the week! A big thanks to the brilliant who came all the way up to Ebony to make sure our herd is feeling their best and ready for the summer holidays ⛱️ Tommy isn’t much of a snoozer, but after a session with the team he took himself off for a very peaceful nap in the sun 😴☀️ What do you think he’s dreaming about in the last video?! Probably his next physio session! 🥰

⭐️ A huge thank you to the brilliant Josh Milburn, of Milburn Equine Dental 🦷 Josh spent the day here at Ebony with some of our young people and Ebony volunteers, teaching us all about his craft. Josh is a total pioneer in his field - specialising in holistic dentistry and natural balance ⚖️ We’re all about learning as much as possible where welfare is concerned, and so grateful that Josh so generously travelled all the way to London to give up his time! 💕👏 Our young people loved learning more and were super inspired! 🤩

☀️ An absolute scorcher of a Summer Fair, in every way!❣️Thank you to everyone who came along, and a very big thank you to all of our young people, volunteers and staff who made it all happen 👏 It was amazing to welcome so many of our community to meet our crew 🐴A special thanks to our friends from Loughborough Farm & Wyck Forest Garden for coming along to give out free plants 🌱 🧑‍🌾 and the Cooling Fiveways project, educating us all on staying well in the heat 🔥
