Thank you to English Chamber Orchestra to helping to move the Haslemere International String Competition forward into New Horizons.

On Wednesday we were delighted to host a recital evening with a difference. Bringing together supporters, colleagues from around the music industry and some new to the world of live classical music, just discovering the work we do.

It was a perfect opportunity to build new partnerships and announce the launch of our exciting New Horizons programme. It will formally launch next year and will identify exceptional emerging musicians and composers, supporting them through a sustained two-year pathway from education into professional life. We can't wait to share more details, so sign up to get our free e-newsletter. Keep in touch as, in the coming months, we will be delivering pilot projects in collaboration with the Haslemere International String Competition and Haslemere Festival.

We would like to thank the wonderfully talented violinist Sofia Demetriades accompanied by the equally amazing Svitlana Kosenko on piano.

Wondering whether BIMF is the right level for you?

BIMF is designed for committed young musicians aged 16-32 who are ready to develop their playing through solo performance, chamber music, masterclasses, coaching and regular performance opportunities.

You do not need to arrive as the “finished product”. The course is about growth, curiosity, preparation and the willingness to learn from world-class faculty and fellow musicians.

If you are passionate about music, open to collaboration, and ready for an intensive week of learning and performing, BIMF could be the right place for you.

There is still time to register and join us this summer. Find out more and register at: www.bimf.org.uk
