Woking Sea Cadets

Meet the Team!! Our Executive Officer PO(SCC) J. Law!
I joined cadets at the age of 10 after attending a recruitment event at Caterham Carnival, and progressed through the organisation to become an instructor at 18. Throughout my time as a cadet, I developed a passion for first aid and chose it as my specialisation. I find it incredibly rewarding to see cadets learn practical skills they may not be taught at school. Cadets has also helped me overcome the confidence struggles I experienced at school, giving me a huge boost in both my skills and knowledge while allowing me to give back and support others.

Delighted to join the Woking branch of the Royal Naval Association for their monthly social evening.

The association provides companionship, comradeship and unity to all Royal Navy veterans, supporting them through life’s highs and lows.

They meet every third Tuesday of every month at Woking Sea Cadets, Wishbone Way, Goldsworth Park, Woking.

I look forward welcoming members to Woking’s Remembrance Sunday commemorations on 8 November and Armistice Day on Wednesday 11 November, both in Jubilee Square.

We’re delighted to see Leading Cadet Austin’s achievement featured in our local paper, Woking News & Mail. Qualifying as a Drill Instructor at just 16 reflects tremendous commitment, skill and self-discipline—and we are very proud of him 🫡

Here are some of our favourite photographs from Monday’s Royal Naval Parade.

They capture far more than an inspection — they celebrate the skills, teamwork, confidence and achievements of our cadets, together with the dedication of the volunteers who support them. We hope you enjoy looking through them as much as we enjoyed the occasion.

Our sincere thanks to photographer Constantin Munnich, who provided us with this fantastic collection of memories.

Proud to share that one of our own, Junior Cadet James, read the Kohima Epitaph at last month's Brookwood Last Post ceremony — delivered with real confidence, and clearly enjoyed by him too. Moments like this are why we're glad to take part as regularly as we can. You can read more about the ceremony, and see the photo, on the Brookwood Last Post website: https://brookwoodlastpost.org/
