Help Us Support the Homeless This Winter - Backpack Outreach 2025

As the colder months set in, Our Forgotten Neighbours is preparing for our Backpack Outreach Event - happening on October 25th. On this night, our team will go out across the city to hand out backpacks filled with essential survival items to people experiencing homelessness.

Each backpack includes:
Thermal clothing
- Hygiene items (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, wipes, etc.)
- Long shelf-life food and snacks
- Tents and sleeping bags
- Bottled water and other necessities

Our goal is to raise £10,000 to fill as many backpacks as possible - and we need your help to make it happen.

We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity shown so far - we’ve already received over £1,600 in cash donations, around 100 bottles of water, and 100 toiletries. But to reach our goal of £10,000 and ensure every backpack is fully equipped, we still urgently need:
-Rucksacks
-Sleeping bags
-Tents

How You Can Help:

Donate Cash: Every pound goes directly toward purchasing supplies.

Donate Items: We’re accepting contributions of thermal wear, food, hygiene products, and camping gear.

Volunteer With Us:
We’re also looking for volunteers to join us on the night - whether you can help hand out backpacks, drive between locations, or simply lend a hand, your support makes all the difference.
Event Time: 10PM till late on October 25th

Together, we can bring warmth, dignity, and hope to those living on the streets this winter.

Let’s not forget those who are too often overlooked - because everyone deserves to be seen, supported, and cared for.
