“You definitely get to feel a part of what goes on here”🤝

To mark we spoke to Aled, a long-term volunteer with us at Providence Row, about his time in the kitchen with us and what it’s meant to both us and him to be part of the team.

Volunteers give thousands of hours of time to Providence Row every year in a huge range of supporting roles to our work. Find out how you can play your part in providing hope and progress for people experiencing homelessness at [email protected]

We’d like to say a huge thank you to our incredible corporate volunteers who have supported Providence Row over the last month.

Across 5 Lunch Challenges, 2 Breakfast Challenges, 1 Garden Maintenance session, and 1 Art session, 26 corporate volunteers gave 81 hours of their time to support our day centre.
Every second spent preparing hot meals, maintaining our rooftop garden, and supporting our art club helps support the day-to-day running of our centre, and create a welcoming and safe space for people experiencing homelessness in East London.

Thank you to the teams from Chubb, YouView, Liberty Global Group, 8 Bishopsgate, Reed Smith for choosing to spend time with us and stand alongside our community. Your commitment and enthusiasm made a tangible difference to people who rely on our services.
Corporate volunteering is an essential part of how we support frontline services while forging partnerships built on compassion and empathy. We’re extremely grateful to all of our volunteers who generously gave us a hand to make this work possible.

Thank you for supporting Providence Row! If you or your organisation would like to get involved, please get in touch at [email protected]

Got an hour to spare? We’d love to see you tomorrow lunchtime as we bring local school choirs to Spitalfields Market for a lively hour of singing and fundraising in support of Providence Row.

It’s just an hour, but your support will turn this event into much-needed funds for people experiencing homelessness in East London.

Support our work and enjoy songs from children in our amazing community - we can't wait to see you there!

Huge thanks to our long-standing partners ReedSmith for donating 14 boxes of towels.

These will directly support the hygiene facilities at our Dellow Centre, helping people access showers, refresh themselves, and rebuild their confidence and wellbeing in the process.

Donations like these significantly help restore hope and dignity to each of our clients.

So grateful to be marking 20 years of partnership together this year. 💚

Providence Row is very excited to announce The Mile Between Us Cup 2026 in partnership with Eastern City BID. Football with purpose is back in the city and this year’s tournament is poised to be the biggest and most impactful yet.

On 17th July, Providence Row and Eastern City BID will bring businesses together for an afternoon of football, friendly rivalry and fundraising in support of people affected by homelessness. Over the last two years, the MarComms Cup hosted by raised vital funds for Providence Row, showing what can happen when businesses come together around a cause that sits so close to the City. Thanks to the generous support of Eastern City BID, the tournament is evolving into The Mile Between Us Cup — a broader City-wide football tournament with more teams, a bigger venue and a wider platform for local impact.

⚽ 20 teams (all ages, genders, and abilities)
🏆 Cup and Plate competitions
🎖️ Trophies and prizes
🤝 Networking and friendly rivalry
💙 Fundraising for Providence Row
😎 Bragging rights as the best team in the City

We warmly invite you to register and remind everyone that team spaces are limited, and already filling up. Please Contact Megan Bailey at Eastern City BID ([email protected]) or Michael Blakesley at Providence Row ([email protected]) for more information.

We were excited to attend the first meeting of the new Homelessness Partnership Board.
The Board brings partners together to drive coordinated action to improve outcomes for people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness and rough sleeping in Tower Hamlets. It provides a focused forum for collaboration, practical problem-solving, and system-wide improvements, ensuring that services are person-centred, evidence-informed, and responsive to local needs.
Meeting at Crisis Skylight, we were joined by representatives from Crisis, Praxis, for Migrants and Refugees, St Mungo's, Providence Row and elop LGBT mental health and wellbeing
