This Refugee Week, East London Mosque is recognising the courage of refugees and celebrating their strength, resilience, and journeys.

Join us at the Refugee Hub on Wednesday 17 June, 3pm to 5pm for tea, cake, and heartfelt stories from members of our migrant community as they share their courageous journeys.

Let us come together in reflection, solidarity, and support during Refugee Week 2026, as we honour this year’s theme: Courage.

They met with our CEO and senior staff for a friendly discussion about the work of the Mosque, our services, and the needs of the communities we serve.

The visit was also a welcome opportunity to strengthen international links and explore how Muslim communities can learn from one another, cooperate, and support work that benefits our communities here and abroad.

It was a pleasure to host them at East London Mosque and the London Muslim Centre.

This week we welcomed a Christian delegation to East London Mosque.

The group toured the Mosque and London Muslim Centre, and we had an engaging and thoughtful discussion about Islam, the British Muslim community, and the role faith communities can play in building understanding and trust.

Visits like this are an important part of our work, opening doors for honest conversation, shared learning and stronger relationships between communities.

It was a pleasure to host them.
