Bluecoat Display Centre is a nationally and internationally recognised contemporary craft and design gallery that has been established since 1959. We sell, exhibit and promote over 350 selected contemporary craftspeople each year working in a broad variety of media. The Bluecoat Display Centre is a registered charity within Arts and Culture. Our mission is to promote excellence in design and workmanship within the contemporary applied arts both nationally and internationally. We aim to increase the publics awareness and appreciation for the work of leading and emerging artists through exhibition, education, display and sale, and consequently to support the contemporary craft infrastructure. Bluecoat Display Centre welcomes enquiries from organisations regarding charitable giving who empathise with these objects, and has many sponsorship opportunities connected to the exhibition and workshop programme.

We’re delighted to be partnering once again with Great Northern Contemporary Craft & Art Fair to celebrate the incredible creativity and craftsmanship on show at , bringing a huge selection of wonderful work to Victoria Baths!

Our ‘In the Window’ prize winners for next year are with her beautiful wood and silver jewellery, and Steve Cook showcasing his fabulous ceramics. We can’t wait to share their work with you in June 2027!

We’ve had a wonderful summer at the Bluecoat Display Centre, showcasing beautifully crafted work by talented makers from across the North West. It has been a truly inspiring exhibition, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the makers who took part, as well as everyone who visited and supported the show.

Yesterday marked the final workshop with maker and this brilliant group from The Whitechapel Centre, the leading homeless and housing charity for the Liverpool region.
