🌊 From a Warm Welcome to a "Home Away From Home": The Story of M/V Royal Respect 🚢
When the crew of the M/V Royal Respect first arrived in Liverpool earlier this spring, our team met them at the berth with the practical and spiritual essentials they needed most—providing free SIM cards and Wi-Fi routers so they could call home, and coordinating a special Mass and Ship’s Blessing with Father Martin.
We were thrilled to welcome Captain Mark Ervin Arandela and his crew back to Liverpool for their second visit recently. This time, they left us with something special: a beautiful, signed letter of gratitude.
To hear this incredible crew call our centre "a home away from home, a safe harbour where all of us feel welcomed, valued, and understood" is the ultimate affirmation of why we do what we do.
From the warm smiles and shared cups of coffee, we are privileged to be a beacon of comfort and hope for those facing long, challenging journeys at sea.
To the Captain, Officers, and Crew of M/V Royal Respect—thank you for your beautiful words. They mean the world to our staff and volunteers. Fair winds and following seas until we welcome you back to Liverpool again! ⚓❤️
