We recently took delivery of a Haulotte Optimum 8 Scissorlift, kindly sponsored by W. Hall - The Forklift Centre in Mallusk.

This will allow cleaning, painting and much-needed maintenance at height for some of our specialist volunteers, where a ladder would be too precarious and keep them safe working at heights.

The Society are absolutely delighted with Chris Hall's generosity and his company's on-going sponsorship deal, plus we really appreciate the machine's fantastic new paint job, full pre-delivery service, plus training for our volunteers.

A timely reminder that tomorrow night, Wednesday 28th October is our bi-monthly meeting at the hangars at Long Kesh.
Tomorrow night, we are pleased to welcome guest speaker, Ray Jordan who will be giving a talk on Alcock and Brown. On 14/15th June 1919 they made the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic. Want to know more? Why not join us, the meeting starts at 8pm. Ray.

Due to the forecast weather conditions for Saturday and Sunday please note that the hangars will be closed both days . Ray.

It is with deep shock and extreme sadness that I have to report the death of long standing member and volunteer, Leonard Craig. Leonard has been an outstanding volunteer for over 20 years, playing a leading part in dismantling our Phantom for example. He was always to be seen doing something on some aircraft and always ready to lend a hand. Whilst he had not been well over the last number of months, we are completely devastated by his passing. He will be so sadly missed by so many of us. RIP Leonard.

Four intrepid Society members have once again ventured to Vancouver to check out the local aviation museums. Taken from the A321's tail this was them landing this afternoon.... Ray.

What an incredible weekend, 6000 visitors on Saturday and 6500 today, Sunday.... 12,500 TOTAL (up from 7,200 last year).

It would not have been possible without the superb help from the RAF Cadets and of course our very own volunteers.

Thanks must also go to the caterers, our special guests each day and last but not least to everyone who visited over the weekend.

To see so many happy people, to hear and read the fantastic comments makes it all worthwhile....the team and I look forward to welcoming you back next year, if not before.
Thanks again, Ray.
