Sadly beautiful Billy’s adoption has fallen through as the wonderful woman who offered him a home has fallen ill 💔 He is due to arrive in the UK in a couple of weeks! Can anyone offer this gorgeous boy a second chance at happiness so he doesn’t lose his place on the happy bus?

Billy will arrive with a clean bill of health, health cert, up to date vaccinations microchip and he is neutered.

Please help if you can! 🙏

He is less than 2 years old. Billy was found in the mountain village of Tsagkarada, in a bit of a state poor boy 😢 You could see metal sticking out his back leg, probably from a bad operation. Christos, one of our amazing local volunteers fostered him for a while after his new operation until he healed up nicely and got the ‘all clear’ from our vet.

Thanks to the kindness of our supporters and amazing vet, Billy is walking normally and has been given a clean bill of health. He is now hoping for one last bit of kindness and is looking for his forever home ❤️

Our wonderful Akrivi say, “Billy has an amazing character, he is super sweet and enjoys walks. He is fed up with being at the shelter and has got a bit chubby because he doesn't exercise enough at the shelter. We really hope he finds his adopter soon!” Video in comments 👇🏼

This weekend in Pelion we took part in a neutering programme with our wonderful Eri of
Φιλόζωοι Ανατολικού Πηλίου - East Pilio Animal Welfare and 16 vets from EDKE (Voluntary Action of Veterinarians of Greece), with the support of the Municipality of Zagora Mouresios.

An incredible 98 dogs and cats were collected from the villages and taken to Zagora for neutering. Most of these animals are strays, but we also collected un-neutered animals from people who feed and care for them in their homes.

In the UK, whilst we focus on finding homes for these beautiful creatures, the priority remains to support the work of responsible neutering programmes, because otherwise the problem of unloved stray animals never ends.

During the collection we found a cat who had been hit by a motorbike in the village of Kissos. He was in a terrible state with his eye detached and he is now safe at the vets and receiving appropriate care in the city of Volos.

We can’t believe this gorgeous boy hasn’t had an adoption offer yet! 💔

Barley iis being fostered in East Sussex and is as close to perfect as it gets! He makes friends with everyone he meets, including nextdoor’s tiny puppy. (See videos in comments) He is gentle and sweet, easygoing and keen to learn.

Who can offer him the loving forever home he deserves? 🙏🏼

Beautiful Barley is ready for his forever home ❤️

📍 This 11 month old boy is sweet, affectionate and playful and he’s ready to meet you in Sussex. He was found abandoned with his brother as a tiny pup in Agios Ioannis and was taken to the shelter by our wonderful Eri. His brother Bracken has been successfully adopted and is now thriving in Lewes with his amazing family.

His foster mum Sam says “Barley aka Chunky boy is a very handsome and charming young man. He has come into our home and settled straight in with my two Greek ladies and a little old bichon. He has so much love to give and the lucky family who adopts him will have the most amazing dog. I’m not sure he understood he should have a settling in period as he took straight to our routine with no issues. He sleeps with our girls in their bedroom but I’m sure if allowed he would definitely cuddle up on your bed.”

Barley is very sociable and easygoing in the house and garden, great with other dogs and cats and could happily live with children. Check out videos in comments of him playing with his foster siblings and his lovely reaction when he was collected from the van 🫶🏼

As a young fella, he will need time to work on his lead walking skills and will need gentle acclimatisation around traffic as he has come from a very rural location. He is keen to please and motivated by praise and treats, so he’ll pick up the basics quickly.

He has been neutered, comes with his pet passport, microchip, up to date vaccinations and negative BC test result.

Beautiful Jilly (named after wonderful Jill who rescued her and her 8 pups) is now in a foster in West Sussex with one of her sons Jessie ❤️

They are both absolutely gorgeous, healthy and ready for their forever homes. Could you make their Christmas wishes come true? 🎄

All of our dogs have an EU pet passport, up to date vaccinations, microchip and a negative Brucella Canis test certificate. Mum is around 2 and son 6 months.

If you are interested in adopting one of them please contact us directly for an application form and we can arrange for you to meet them. This is a great opportunity to meet one of our dogs locally before committing. 🙏🏼

Meet beautiful Sebastian who is now in foster in Sussex and ready for his forever home ❤️

Another of the eight pups found with their mother in an abandoned building, this little fella is super special. He is very affectionate and playful and is enjoying playing with the furry playmates in his foster home.

He sleeps through the night already and currently shares a room with two other dogs downstairs. He is not at all interested in the resident cats, so could happily live with one or more. We think he would enjoy living either with other confident dog/s who he can learn from, or as a single dog with a person or family who have plenty of time to spare and are looking for a companion.

He is only 5 months old and has spent his entire life at the shelter until last week, so would need someone with time to build his confidence in the big wide world and work on his lead walking with him.

Sebastian will come to you with his pet passport, up to date vaccinations, proof of his negative BC result and a microchip.

One of the eight pups found in an abandoned house with their mother, this little guy is desperate to join his two siblings who’ve already made it safely to the UK 🤞🏼

Our volunteer in Greece says “He is a super cool guy. Very handsome, very friendly and good with all the animals and humans. He likes to explore, a great family dog.”

He will arrive with an EU pet passport, microchip, all of his vaccinations up to date and proof of his negative BC result.

Cappucino is growing fast as is desperate to join his siblings on the happy bus! 🙏🏼

He is one of the 8 adorable puppies found abandoned with their mum in an old empty house in Mouresi and are all now safely at our shelter in a family group.

Our volunteer Akrivi says “He is the most sociable of all the pups. When you take him out he runs like crazy at the beginning with excitement but quickly calms down and he longs for cuddles and affection. He is a gorgeous boy. He looks at you all the time begging you to take him”

They are all having regular vet checks and will be ready to travel to their forever home in November with up to date vaccinations, test results, EU pet passport, health cert and microchip.
