Volunteers' Week 1–7 June 📸

We asked our volunteers to share some of their favourite photos from volunteering at Bore Place and Bough Beech - moments that capture what it feels like to be part of this place, this community, and this work.

What came back was just lovely.

Rain or shine, these people give their time and energy to the land, and to each other. It's the people that make things happen - conversations over cups of tea, arranging flowers for wedding couples, spotting mistletoe in the orchard, managing grassland... and proving you're never too old to play pooh sticks!

To every volunteer at Bore Place and Bough Beech - thank you 💚

Organic oats! 🌾

As Bore Place continues its transition to a new land strategy, we're experimenting with some arable farming alongside our other work. This trial field of oats is coming along nicely!

It's all part of how we're evolving the farm to be more resilient, more diverse, and more sustainable for the future. Watch this space.

Get involved with our new Community Garden!

If you've been following along, you'll know we're creating a new garden at Bore Place - a space for people to come together to grow food. We've already planted up a fruit and nut orchard, and seeded a wildflower meadow, and now we're getting ready to get some veg growing.

We're looking for people with all kinds of skills, so whether you're green-thumbed, or a dab hand at building things, we'd love for you to join the team, and if you're just curious and would love to learn as we go - everyone is welcome!

We're now running regular sessions on Wednesdays (10am-2pm) and Fridays (11am-2pm) which are a great opportunity to pop along, find out a bit more about the garden and our plans, and get stuck in.

If you'd like to register your interest or join in, please email 📩 [email protected]

Ever wondered what goes into a styled wedding shoot? ✨

We recently got a dream team of suppliers together Bore Place to show you what your big day could actually look like - and it was so much fun! Here's a little behind the scenes, before the professional pics are ready.

Our incredible celebrant demonstrated a traditional Pagan Handfasting ceremony - where the couple's hands are bound together in unity - plus a broom jump, where the couple sweep away the past and leap into their future together 🧹

We shot two ceremony setups: a bright, romantic spring/summer celebration in the Large Barn, and a cosy, candlelit winter wedding in the Drawing Room - because in addition to our gorgeous outdoor ceremony locations, we also have beautiful indoor licensed spaces for every season.

The dresses were stunning, the shoes perfect, and the flowers… 🌸 the florist absolutely went above and beyond with the most generous, lush arrangements. Add in flawless hair and makeup, gorgeous chairs, and a photographer capturing every moment - and it was a dream shoot.

A huge thank you to the wonderful suppliers who made this all possible 👇
