We’re supporting Carers Leeds’ 30th Anniversary Fire Walk! 🔥

On 8th October, Carers Leeds are holding a special Fire Walk fundraiser as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations and our very own Jackie is taking part! 🔥👏

💫 Jackie will be walking over hot coals to raise much-needed funds for Carers Leeds, helping unpaid carers across the city get the support they deserve.

Jackie is aiming to raise £100, and any donations, big or small, would be hugely appreciated. You can support her through this link https://localgiving.org/fundraising/Jackies

We’re also really excited to be supporting Carers Leeds on the night by opening the café for the evening, with a special warming menu serving:
Hot Parkin
Hot Pies
Hot Drinks

Come along, grab something warm and help us cheer Jackie on as she braves the coals! no ticket necessary!

Check out Carers Leeds website for further details.

We’d love to see you there! 💛

This is Mia’s Storey

I’ve got a lot to thank them for. It’s made me open up a lot more and try new things…”

We’re so proud of the women we support at Wren Bakery and the incredible steps they take towards their futures.

Mia’s words are a beautiful reminder of the power of support, and self confidence. It’s brilliant to see the women we work with recognise their own potential and in Mia’s case discover how their experiences can help them support others.

Her journey is reminder of the power of support, confidence and new opportunities. ✨

It was such a joy to welcome Naomi Ost to The Wren Bakery today for a beautiful intimate acoustic set.

Our café was filled with music, conversation and connection as customers, trainees and staff took a moment to slow down and enjoy something special. Naomi also spent time chatting with Jackie, about Wren, her storey and how Wren has supported her and others to build confidence, gain skills and move towards employment.

Naomi’s UK tour is all about celebrating independent community spaces that bring people together. She’s performing in women and non-binary owned cafés, bookshops and community venues, shining a light on places that are so often overlooked but play such an important role in creating belonging and connection.
We’re incredibly grateful that Wren was chosen as one of those spaces. 💫

If Naomi is visiting a city near you, we can’t recommend seeing her enough. Go along, support local community spaces, and enjoy some wonderful live music.
Thank you, Naomi, for sharing your talent and for championing the communities that make a difference ❤️
