Last week, Citizens UK leaders from across the country came together to celebrate 25 years of the and look ahead to what the next 25 years could bring.
The evening included a powerful testimony from a care worker in the North East, working long hours on minimum wage, in a role that demands both physical and emotional strength every single day. Her story is a reminder of exactly why this work matters.
Here’s what that organising has achieved in Leeds alone — accredited Living Wage employers grew from just 9 in 2015 to 74 by 2021. That is what organised communities can do. 💪🏽
At Complete Woman, we are committed to continuing this movement, engaging local MPs, strengthening Living Wage campaigns across West Yorkshire, and standing firmly for the dignity of every care worker.
