Nobody told me “That’s brave” was not a compliment. 😭

British workplace phrases can sound so polite that you walk away thinking it went well. It didn’t. 😂

If you are not sure what someone meant, ask. “Just so I understand, do you mean...?” is a normal thing to say here. Nobody will think less of you for it.

But people have different circumstances, different responsibilities and different things they’re trying to work through.

A little more understanding can change how we treat the people around us. 💕

You see the activities and people, but there’s a lot more happening in this space.

Through our Transforming Mental Health in Communities work, our wellbeing groups bring migrant and local communities together for peer support, connection and conversations around wellbeing.

We asked some of the women and volunteers who have experienced these spaces to share what Complete Woman means to them.

This is just the first part, there’s more to come. 💕
