Looking for a quick, budget-friendly meal the whole family will enjoy? A simple creamy tuna pasta bake is hard to beat!

Tuna is a brilliant cupboard staple and a Vineyard Pantry favourite - affordable, filling, and incredibly versatile! Mix it with cooked pasta, a simple creamy or tomato sauce, and whatever vegetables you have on hand, top with grated cheese - then bake until golden and bubbling.

The best part? There are so many ways to make it:

3,000 shops... and countless lives touched.

This week we celebrated a very special milestone at Vineyard House Pantry, our 3,000th shop!

Every Wednesday, Vineyard House Pantry opens its doors to provide members with a warm welcome, a friendly chat and the chance to choose groceries that help stretch household budgets while bringing people together.

To everyone who has shopped with us, volunteered, donated food, supported us or simply spread the word, thank you. This milestone belongs to you as much as it does to us.

Together, you've helped make the pantry a place where
community and hope are on the shelves alongside fresh fruit, family favourites and everyday essentials.

Here's to the next 3,000 shops, more conversations over a cuppa, and continuing to support our wonderful Headingley community, one basket at a time.

Looking for a healthy, filling and budget-friendly meal? Try roasting sweet potatoes topped with simple ingredients to create delicious meal bowls!

Chop the sweet potatoes (washed with skin on) into cubes. Roast on a baking tray with olive oil, paprika, mixed herbs, salt and pepper until soft and golden. Then add toppings such as:

🥑 Creamed sweetcorn, fajita-style chicken and avocado.
🌱 Roasted chickpeas, spinach and houmous.
🍛 Beef mince cooked with curry powder, peas and tinned tomatoes, topped with a spoonful of sour cream.

These meals are packed with flavour, easy to make and use affordable ingredients that can feed the whole family.

Spring is finally springing, and there are little signs popping up around Headingley that remind us brighter days are on the way. Daffodils and crocuses are starting to peek through, lighter mornings, birdsong creeping back into our streets, and that first hint of warmth when the sun shows its face ☀️

These small moments can be really good for the soul - a reminder to pause, breathe and take hope where we find it. As the seasons slowly change, we’re holding onto that sense of renewal and kindness that spring brings with it.

Did you know that, nationwide, amongst Your Local Pantry members who had previously had to use a food bank, 71 per cent had been able to reduce or completely stop their food bank usage.

Furthermore, 70 per cent of members who previously had to skip meals were doing so less often, since joining a Pantry or similar project.
