Many people continue to struggle with energy costs throughout the year, impacting their health, wellbeing, and financial stability.

Come and chat with the Money Buddies team at the Financial Wellbeing Drop-In Event at Leeds St John's Centre.

We'll be joining other local organisations to offer free, confidential advice and support to help you take control of your finances and find the assistance you need.

🏆 We're proud to be recognised for our partnership work in tackling illegal money lending!

Recently, members of our team attended the Charter Signing Event, where we had the opportunity to connect with organisations from across the country that are working to protect people from the harm caused by illegal money lending.

We were delighted to receive a Certificate of Partnership from the Illegal Money Lending Team in recognition of our commitment to supporting local communities and raising awareness of loan sharks.

This award reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers and partners who work tirelessly to ensure that people can access trusted advice, support and information when facing financial difficulties.

Loan sharks often target people when they are most vulnerable, which is why raising awareness and helping people understand where to get safe, legitimate support is so important.

Thank you to the Illegal Money Lending Team for this recognition and for the incredible work they do to protect individuals, families and communities.

With the current high temperatures, we’d like to remind everyone to take extra care and stay safe.
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🧴 Use sunscreen and wear a hat when outdoors
🏠 Keep cool indoors where possible – close curtains/blinds during peak heat
👵 Check in on older relatives, neighbours, and those who may be more vulnerable
🐾 Don’t forget pets – ensure they have shade and fresh water
🚫 Never leave children or animals in parked cars
