Heart Week is a time to honour all our little fighters and the families who walk every step beside them. 🩷

Being a heart parent means facing the unknown - the diagnoses, the surgeries, the hospital stays the endless waiting and watching. It means carrying worries that most people will never see, and doing it all while loving your child fiercely.

Heart parents navigate medical complexity, developmental challenges, anxiety, trauma and exhaustion. Not because they’re superhuman, but because their child needs them. They find strength they didn’t know they had. They celebrate tiny wins. They hold on through the hardest nights. They keep going.

To every heart parent:

❤️ You are doing an incredible job.
❤️ Your love is powerful, steady and unwavering.

🚨 TOMORROW 🚨

In 24 hours we take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks!
Our aim is to raise vital funds & awareness for 3 charities who have supported us through the loss of our daughter Ivy.

⛰️ We will be completing a 24 mile route of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough, and all in under 12 hours.

🩷 Tiny Tickers - Tiny Tickers "The Tiny Hearts Charity"
Raising awareness of Congenital Heart Disease among parents-to-be, new parents, health professionals and the general public. They provide specialist training to sonographers doing 20-week pregnancy scans – this is the best chance to spot most heart problems before birth. They also continue to place hundreds of pulse oximetry machines across maternity units in the UK. All alongside supporting thousands of families through their individual journeys.

🧬 Unique - Unique - Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group
Supporting families in learning more about their child’s rare chromosome disorder, and providing vital health information into these conditions.
Connecting families and support groups, ensuring parents are equipped with as much information they require.
Undertaking research projects to expand understanding of rare chromosome disorders.

💟 Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice - Forget Me Not Children's Hospice
Caring for babies, children and young people, who have life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, and families whose child has died.
Care & support starts the moment you receive a worrying diagnosis, whether this be, during pregnancy, we’ll support your child and your family in the weeks, months and hopefully years ahead.
They provide end of life care, bereavement support, counselling, sibling support and more.

✨ONE MONTH TO GO ⛰️

On Saturday 18th October, The Ivy Holland Fund and a group of our nearest and dearest will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge… Climbing Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough ⛰️

We are doing this to honour the memory of our beautiful daughter, Ivy Rae Holland.

We are also raising funds and awareness for three charities that have supported us through every step of our journey:
- Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice
- Unique – Understanding Rare Chromosome & Gene Disorders
- Tiny Tickers
