🎉 WHAT A GREAT DAY AT FARNLEY COMMUNITY CENTRE! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Farnley Bargain Bonanza today! 🙌❤️

We had a fantastic day, with lots of visitors coming through the doors — including some people who were visiting Farnley Community Centre for the very first time.

That's exactly what we're trying to achieve. We're working hard to bring the Community Centre back to the community asset it has the potential to be, creating a place where people want to come, meet others, get involved and enjoy themselves.

A few highlights from today:

🛍️ Amazing stallholders selling their fantastic range of goods and wares. 👚🏷️🧸

🏰 The bouncy castle got its first proper outing — and thankfully the weather was absolutely fantastic!

🎶 Music, laughter and a great atmosphere throughout the day.

🍽️☕ Our visitors supported the Farnley Community Cafe, helping us continue to put the cafe at the heart of what we do.

But perhaps the biggest thank you has to go to our amazing volunteers. ❤️

Once again, when it really mattered, you stepped up and pulled it out of the bag.

Some of you took on roles that you wouldn't normally do, stepped outside your comfort zones and simply got stuck in to make the day happen.

That's what community is all about. 👏

We couldn't do these events without you, and we're incredibly grateful for everything you do.

Today wasn't just about a table-top sale. It was about opening the doors, bringing people together and showing what Farnley Community Centre can be.

And we're only just getting started... ❤️

Thank you, everyone. See you at the next one! 🎉

# # # ☕ With a Brew & Banter

Two weeks in and **The Shed is already starting to grow!** 🙌

We started with just **4 blokes** coming along for our first session, and last Monday we welcomed **7**.

It might not sound like a massive number yet — but every great group has to start somewhere. More importantly, we've already got men coming back, having a laugh, playing a few games and enjoying a brew and a bit of good company.

And that's exactly what **The Shed** is all about.

🎯 Darts
🎱 Pool
🀄 Dominoes
🃏 Cards
🎲 Board games
☕ Tea & coffee
💬 Brew & banter
🤝 Meeting other local men

Whether you're 18 or 80, working, retired, self-employed, unemployed, a new dad, recently moved to the area, or simply fancy getting out of the house for a couple of hours — **come and give us a try.**

You don't need to know anyone.
You don't need to be good at darts! 😂
And you certainly don't need to have anything to talk about.

Just **come as you are, grab a brew and pull up a chair.**

💛 **FREE TO ATTEND – PAY AS YOU FEEL**

The Shed is a safe, friendly and respectful space for men aged 18+. There is **no alcohol or illegal drugs**, and no pressure or judgement.

📅 **Every Monday**
⏰ **7:30pm – 9:00pm**
📍 **Hillside Hall, Cross Lane, Farnley, Leeds, LS12 5AA**

📞 0113 460 4702
📧 [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

We're only two weeks in, but we're hoping to keep building something really positive for the men of Farnley and the surrounding areas.

**4 became 7... who's going to make it 8? 😉**

🔨 **The Shed – where Farnley's men get together.**

🔨 THE SHED @ FARNLEY COMMUNITY CENTRE

Last week we welcomed 4 men to The Shed — and whilst four might not sound like a huge number, every great community project has to start somewhere! 💪

The Shed is about creating a place where men can come along, have a brew ☕, have a chat, meet new people and simply spend a couple of hours doing something together.

🎱 Pool
⛳ Indoor mini-golf
🎯 Darts
🃏 Cards & dominoes
🎲 Games
☕ Good company & conversation

There are no expectations, no pressure and no need to know anyone before you come along.

We're looking to build something great, one person at a time — and we'd love to see a few more faces through the door.

Whether you're a regular socialiser or someone who doesn't get out much, The Shed is for you.

📅 Every Monday
⏰ 7:30pm – 9:00pm
📍 Farnley Community Centre
💷 Pay as you feel

Come along, have a brew and see what we're about.

Four people came through the door last week. Who knows where we'll be in six months? ❤️
