What an amazing day today! Our Challenge Poverty event was heaving with visitors! A whopping 72 of you registered your interest for support with a range of service providers! We are delighted with that response, it tells us just how important these days are ❤️ We know you appreciated all the free food, nappies, toiletries, fruit & veg, school uniforms, shoes and hot food and drinks. Not a crumb was left 😃🫶 Our lovely Alpacas loved the fuss the children made over them, and all the carrots and apples they were fed! Thank you to Clyde Gateway for suporting this amazing event, to The Halliday Foundation for all your support as always, and to Spirit Aid for your donations! Last but not any less important, thank you to the 5 star team BCLC for everything you do! 🫶😃

Volunteers needed for The Halliday Foundation 😃

🚐 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – HELP TURN A HOUSE INTO A HOME! 💛

The Halliday Foundation is looking for volunteers to join our Houses2Homes van team, collecting and delivering furniture and white goods to help people moving from homelessness into a home.

Getting the keys is just the beginning. A bed to sleep in, a sofa to sit on and a fridge for food can make a huge difference to someone starting again.

How you can help:
📦 Collect donated furniture and white goods.
🚐 Join our driver on collections and deliveries (driving is not essential).
🏠 Help load, unload and carry items into people’s homes.

The role involves lifting and carrying bulky items as part of a team. We’re looking for reliable, friendly people who want to make a practical difference in their community.

Have some time to spare? We’d love to hear from you!

📩 Email [email protected] or call 0141 258 4728 to find out more and tell us your availability.

Please share this post or tag someone who might be interested. Your time could help someone take their next step towards a fresh start. 💛

🎄 HELP US RAISE FUNDS FOR THE BROTHER WALFRID SACRED HEART MEMORIAL CHAPEL! 🎄

🎅 Our Parish Christmas Raffle is back! 🎟️✨

Raffle tickets are now available, with £100 cash as the first prize, £50 as the second prize, and many more fantastic prizes to be won! 🎁

This year, every ticket sold will help us refurbish and rededicate the Brother Walfrid Sacred Heart Memorial Chapel, while also supporting essential repairs and improvements to our church.

🙏 Please support us in one—or all—of these important ways:

🎟️ Buy your tickets today and be in with a chance of winning a great prize.

📖 Take a book or two to sell to family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. The more tickets we sell, the more we can do to preserve and improve our church and chapel.

🎁 Donate a prize if you can. Raffle prizes are always greatly appreciated and help make the draw even more successful.

Every ticket sold, book returned and prize donated will make a real difference. Together, we can reach our fundraising target and help care for the Brother Walfrid Memorial Chapel and our beautiful church.

Please get involved today: buy a ticket, take a book to sell, or donate a prize. Every contribution counts! ❤️

Thank you for your continued generosity and support. Together, we can keep our parish and its heritage at the heart of Bridgeton.
