Passionist Young Team Glasgow will be screening 'Beyond the Machine: Josef Pieper and the Challenge of AI.' A brand new EWTN Studios documentary exploring the link between work and leisure and modern artificial intelligence.
🎬 All young adults are welcome. 🍿

This week we will be watching this documentary about AI which was recommended by Father Tom and really relevant after last weeks group discussions. Looking forward to see you on Wednesday.

Today we celebrate the feast of St Dominic.

But have you ever wondered why he is often pictured with a dog carrying a torch?

According to Dominican tradition, his mother, Blessed Joan of Aza, dreamed that she gave birth to a dog carrying a torch, which went out and set the world on fire.

The image became a symbol of Dominic’s mission: to carry the light of Christ into the world through preaching.

“Go forth and set the world on fire.”

The feast day of St. John Vianney reminds us that holiness is never private. A priest who lives close to Christ can help lead an entire community closer to God. Today we pray for our priests and for future shepherds of the Church.

This Saturday, you are invited to Blessed John Duns Scotus for an evening of fellowship, prayer and Adoration. The theme of the evening will be the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There will also be the opportunity for confession, mass and dinner. The evening is free but donations are welcome and you can join at any point, if not for the full programme. All the details are on the poster.

Our next meeting will be on the 27th, and will be dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Hope to see you there.

What an incredible day at our Catholic Leadership in Parish Life Day!

It was a privilege to welcome so many young people from across our schools for a day of prayer, formation, discussion and leadership, exploring what it means to live their faith with confidence and to take their place within the life of their parish.

Our team was deeply impressed by the openness, enthusiasm and depth of faith shown by these young people. Their willingness to serve, their thoughtful contributions and their positive "can-do" attitude give us great hope for the future of our parishes and our Church.

A huge thank you to every school, teacher and parish priest who supported the day, and especially to all of the pupils who took part. As they prepare to enter S6 next year, we pray that they will continue to grow as joyful disciples and courageous leaders, witnessing to Christ in their schools, parishes and communities.

Please keep these young people in your prayers as they continue their journey of faith and service.

Happy Corpus Christi!

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ — a feast of pure, unencumbered joy! 🙌

The Feast of Corpus Christi is a Catholic celebration of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist — a sacred reminder that, in every Mass, Jesus' one sacrifice of Calvary is sacramentally made present.

When you receive Holy Communion today, you are not receiving a symbol. Jesus is truly present — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — in the Eucharist.

Go to Mass. Receive Him. Adore Him. Tell someone you love what this day means. 💛
