On Saturday 22nd, join in Farr to explore the River Nairn and its tributaries through storytelling, history and printmaking.
Events are free, family-friendly and include:

🎨 Printmaking with artist, Fiona Black, to make our own maps of the river

Such a lovely evening on Sunday full of riches; A screening of 'The Pine Hunters', ecologists and friends James Rainey and Gus Routledge in thoughtful conversation, some new-old Gaelic songs about nature by , exquisite fiddle by playing local tunes brought to light again as part of the human ecology residency work and the most delicious food prepared by - thanks all the folk who came along and stayed on to talk and talk some more around a long table 😊

A special evening in the offing - a beautiful film and conversation from passionate people on theme of Scots pine and nature recovery with good food and music too.

We're excited to be screening 'The Pine Hunters' and to have friends James Rainy and Gus Routledge in conversation, to serve up some delicious food - a chance to catch up & make new connections.

The short documentary film tells the story of native Scots pine forest restoration and the efforts it takes to revive ecosystems.

James Rainey is Senior Ecologist at Trees for Life and his friend Gus Routledge is a freelance ecologist and moss boss who lives in Strathnairn.

Tickets £12 - eventbrite link in the comments - drop a message if you are looking for £8 concession ticket.

A delicious, local meal made by chef and agro-ecologist Col Gordon is included in the ticket price.

We will have some tunes from the straths of Lochness from fiddler Rachel Campbell and friends - and some songs from new Gaelic trio Ealtainn.
