I am Here… To Be Seen

This Learning Disability Week, our self-advocate Lucy McKee reflects on what it means to be here and seen!

"Bringing my voice to the international platform allowed me to be seen."

Lucy recently attended the 21st Europe in Action Conference in Vicenza, Italy, run by Inclusion Europe, where she championed human rights are universal.

Back home, she attends our National Self-Advocacy Forum brings self-advocates and young people together to share experiences, discuss their rights, and influence real change.

As Lucy puts it: "My hopes beyond Learning Disability Week are that we continue to be seen, heard, and valued, not just for one week, but every day."
