Knights of St Columba

Knights of St Columba The Knights of St Columba is an Order of Catholic laymen dedicated to serving the Church and supporting fellow brothers and sisters.

Founded in 1919 in Glasgow, the Knights of St Columba is a Catholic laymen’s organisation dedicated to faith, charity, and fraternity, supporting the Church, families, and communities through service, fundraising, and youth development. The organisation is non-political and exists to uphold the mission of the Catholic Church, while also promoting the spiritual and material wellbeing of its members and their families. Guided by the Social Teachings of the Catholic Church, the Order works for the moral and social welfare of society. A particular focus is placed on helping young people develop in the likeness of Christ. The Order strives to achieve its aims through the fundamental virtues of:
- Charity
- Unity
- Fraternity

These are reflected in its core principles:
Faith – Family – Fraternity

Members actively contribute to raising tens of thousands of pounds for pro-life charities, the hospice movement, and national action projects. Activities include fundraising, social events, stewarding, youth competitions, and much more. Through working together for the common good, members build strong bonds, grow in faith, and form lasting friendships. The organisation is structured through local councils, provinces, and regions across the UK, all united in their mission: To serve God by serving others.

KNIGHTS, THE KING’S INVITATION IS OUT!

📖 “Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.” — Matthew 22:9

In today’s Gospel, the King sends his servants to invite people to the wedding feast. When some refuse the invitation, he sends them out again to invite others until the hall is filled.

Brothers, this is our mission! 💪

We are called to go out and invite more men to join the Knights, strengthen our brotherhood, defend our faith, and serve the Church and humanity with charity and dedication.

❤️ Be the voice that invites. 🤝 Be the brother who inspires. ✝️ Be the Knight who serves!

COME AND JOIN THE KNIGHTS TODAY!

A SHOUT-OUT TO PROVINCE 12 – SOUTHWARK! 👏

Coming away from Supreme Council, I just wanted to give a special shout-out to Brother David Havard, PGK of KSC Southwark Province 12, who is doing some fantastic work with his Councils and Brothers across the Province.

I’ve attached a few photos of Brother David and a group from his Province taking part in a sponsored walk along the Portuguese Route of the Camino de Santiago. 🇵🇹🥾

It’s fantastic to see our Brothers putting their Faith into Action, coming together, challenging themselves, raising money and supporting good causes along the way.

Well done, Brother David, and to all the Brothers who took part. Your commitment, enthusiasm and example are exactly what we want to see across our Order.

Keep up the fantastic work, Province 12!

AND THAT’S A WRAP ON SUPREME COUNCIL FOR ANOTHER 12 MONTHS! 🙏

After a few important days of discussion, decisions, elections and looking towards the future, Supreme Council has now come to an end.

But the work of our Order continues.

Please keep the Knights of St Columba in your prayers over the coming year — especially our Brothers, Officers, Grand Knights, Provincial Grand Knights, Supreme Directors, Supreme Knight and Past Supreme Knights.

🙏 May they all be guided by the Holy Spirit in every decision they make, so that together they can protect our Order, strengthen our Brotherhood and help the Knights of St Columba grow, thrive and continue its mission for many years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly for our Order, both at Supreme Council and throughout our Provinces and Councils.

May God bless our Order, our Brothers and their families.

✝️ St Columba, pray for us.
🙏 Holy Spirit, guide us.

Thank you, and God Bless.
