✨ “Dreams do not have boundaries.” ✨

One of the beautiful and inspiring quotes from our Our Stories, Our Streets project.

This simple statement reminds us that our dreams are not limited by where we come from, the language we speak, our background, or the challenges we have faced. Dreams have the power to cross borders, connect communities, and inspire hope.

Through Our Stories, Our Streets, we have been privileged to hear powerful stories of resilience, identity, belonging, and ambition from people whose journeys have helped shape Glasgow’s rich and diverse community.

Every story matters. Every voice matters. Every dream matters.

💙 What dream are you pursuing today?

Our Stories, Our Streets is a community heritage project delivered by Unity for Integration Project with support from Glasgow City Heritage Trust. The project explores the stories, experiences, memories, and journeys of people who call Glasgow home. Through photography and personal reflections, participants share what community, identity, belonging, and place mean to them. The exhibition reminds us that the history of a city is not only found in its buildings and streets, but also in the lives, experiences, and contributions of the people who live there.

What a wonderful afternoon at Voices & Cultures – A Refugee Celebration!

Today, Unity for Integration Project (UFIP) was proud to host Voices & Cultures as part of Refugee Festival Scotland 2026, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to celebrate stories, culture, resilience, and community.

The event was filled with meaningful conversations, inspiring contributions, and moments that reminded us of the power of connection and belonging.

Guests also enjoyed a guided tour of our Our Voices, Our Streets exhibition, exploring stories, images, and reflections on identity, belonging, and community in Glasgow. The exhibition sparked meaningful discussions and encouraged participants to reflect on what home, place, and community mean to them.

We were also delighted to welcome representative from Stand Up To Racism, who spoke about solidarity, inclusion, and the importance of standing together against racism and discrimination.

Of course, no community celebration would be complete without food, conversation, and connection. It was wonderful to see people sharing experiences, building new relationships, and celebrating the rich diversity that strengthens our communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, spoke, performed, and supported the event. Your presence helped create a welcoming space where voices were heard, cultures were celebrated, and connections were made.

💙 Together, we continue building communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and that they belong.
