Mary's Meals UK

We provide daily school meals to more than three million children in some of the world's poorest countries. Our idea is a simple one that works.

We provide one daily meal in a place of education in order to attract chronically hungry children into a classroom, where they receive an education that can, in the future, be their ladder out of poverty. Our vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things. Our mission is to enable people to offer their money, goods, skills, time, or prayer, and through this involvement, provide the most effective help to those suffering the effects of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest communities.

Mary's Meals makes children happy!

In our programmes in Liberia, Malawi and Zambia, 92% of children say the school meal and the opportunity to learn are the main reasons for their happiness. While across our programmes, children report being happier, less stressed, and having more energy to learn and play.

Well done to our fab supporters and volunteers in Shropshire who recently took part in the Shropshire Three Peaks challenge!

Participants ran or walked 10 miles over three Shropshire Peaks and others volunteered to run the event by designing medals, baking cakes, standing on check-points, tail-walking, serving refreshments and registering participants.

Over the three years the event has ran, more than £10,000 has been raised to help us feed hungry children with Mary's Meals!
