Always such a treat to have the wonderful Sam preform for us. Dressed in his best tux, he gave a classy performance for our exhibition opening night at The Cameo Cinema, accompanied by the very talented Ryan on guitar.

Tuesday’s Digital Photography group presented their framed final projects, focusing on the theme of spring flowers. 🌺 Each student selected a flower that blooms in spring and captured detailed close-up photographs, highlighting its unique features. Other students explored different elements of nature through close-up photography, creatively composing their images to appear as something entirely different or to offer a new perspective.
The group presented their work to the other students, speaking confidently and providing detailed explanations of their creative process, photographic techniques, and artistic intentions. 📸

Thursday Art 1 worked together on their puff quilt, with each student contributing a square. Colin especially enjoyed how puffy it was and thought it might make a great spot for a nap!

Our Monday Drama students today took part in a filmmaking workshop with Opening Shot Community Workshops, funded by Screen Scotland through their talent builder initiative.

Students explored professional filmmaking techniques including lighting, camera work, and shot composition, all while using professional equipment hands-on. The workshop finished with the group creating their own short film. The students had a fantastic day developing creativity, teamwork, and storytelling skills.

Our first cook and connect session at the start of the month was a great success 🍕in partnership with 🤝 The Action Group it’s great for students to learn independent life skills while also enjoying delicious pizza wraps 😋

Wednesday Art 2’s trip to Out Of The Blueprint studio last month. Students shared their zines which they’ve been developing as part of a project and to hear tips on experimenting with riso printing. 🎨
