Join us next week for an online workshop designed to support parents and carers as they navigate the teenage years with young people who are adopted or care experienced.

The teenage years can bring big changes in identity, relationships and emotions, and these can feel especially complex for young people who have experienced adoption or care.

By attending this workshop, you’ll gain practical insights into how to approach difficult conversations and feel better prepared for the opportunities and challenges these years may bring, including:

• How teenagers develop their sense of identity and self-worth
• Ways to approach difficult or sensitive conversations with confidence
• Practical ideas for supporting your teenager through the changes and challenges of adolescence

This session is delivered by Adoption UK trainers with lived experience of adoption, fostering and kinship care, and includes time for questions.

A new survey has been launched by LGBT Youth Scotland to gather the views and experiences of LGBTQ+ young people aged 13-25 about what life in Scotland is like today.

This research is being conducted to improve the lives of those in Scottish LGBTQ+ communities. It aims to provide a snapshot across many areas of life, including education, the NHS, mental health, coming out, safety, work, home life, representation and the media.

If you are aged 13-25, identify as LGBTQ+, and live in Scotland, please consider sharing your experiences and helping to drive change. The survey closes on Monday 5 October.
