We still have spaces for our Introduction to Theraplay® on 2 September, a practical one day workshop where families and prospective adopters/foster carers learn and practice therapeutic play skills.

This training is aimed at adoptive parents and foster parents who are living with children who have faced challenges in their early years.

Theraplay is a way of communicating with your child, in a playful and engaging way, that helps to build trust and strengthen relationships.

Spaces are limited, so please book early - call 0131 454 3370 or email [email protected].

The workshop will start at 10am and finish at 12 noon.

Paul Munro will be taking part in the Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday 16 August to fundraise for SACS Adoption - St Andrew's Children's Society. We are exceptionally grateful to Paul for taking part in this fundraising challenge for us.

When Paul was 8 he was placed with his foster care family through St Andrew's Children's Society after being in the care system since he was 5. You can find out more about Paul's fostering journey by visiting "Foster/Fostering Stories" on our website.

It's the first day of our preparation group (prep) in our Edinburgh office.

What happens at prep?
Prospective adopters and foster carers hear about the children who need adopted and fostered and find out more about adopting and fostering a child in Scotland.
