CASUAL PADDLE HIRE THIS SATURDAY
With a beautiful weekend coming up, why not book a paddle session on the water this Saturday.

Paddle hire and day launch options, available to non-members!

Club paddle hire sessions this Saturday run for two hours, with sessions starting at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and are charged at £20 per craft. Please arrive 15 minutes before your session for a safety and familiarisation brief.

Day membership options are available for those with their own paddleboard or kayak and are charged at £15 per craft.

We're not put off by a little bit of rain - our Forces Open Day is up and running!

Come down before 4pm today to get on the lake with our various taster sessions, Global catering are ready to tickle your tastebuds with pizzas, loaded nachos, hotdogs and more, our licensed bar is open, and we have loads of membership, course and activity options on offer!

My statement following the devastating news from Hawley Lake

Further to our previous notice - the police incident has now concluded and their presence is being scaled back.

As you may have seen in the media, a teenager was reported missing yesterday after swimming in the lake. A number of agencies were involved in the search, including Hawley Lake staff.
Unfortunately this concluded with a body being recovered from the water earlier today.

We are saddened to hear of this news and send our deepest condolences to his parents and family.

The incident was unrelated to activities of the club, but out of respect for the family we chose to close the site today. We will re-open tomorrow, however this will be for members only. We are taking a pause on casual non-member equipment hire and day memberships until Monday.

We hope to see you on the water soon.

Due to an ongoing police incident at Hawley Lake, it is necessary for us to implement a full site closure today, Wednesday 27th May.

There will be an emergency services presence in the vicinity and we ask that members do not attend the club unless absolutely necessary.

We will update you when we have an indication of when our activities will be allowed to resume, in the meantime please refrain from asking questions as we are currently unable to provide further information.

📣 NEW FOR 2026 - CASUAL PADDLE HIRE & DAY MEMBERSHIP 📣

Just in time for the good weather, we are excited to be introducing our paddle hire and day launch options, available to non-members!

Club paddle hire sessions run for two hours, with sessions starting at 10am and 2pm (plus 6pm during late opening days) and are charged at £20 per craft.

Day membership options are available for those with their own paddleboard or kayak and are charged at £15 per craft.

Sessions must be booked in advance and will be added to the website on a weekly basis dependant on kit and staff availability.

Following on from the success of our Club Open Day, we are opening our doors to the military community and civil service for a day of fun on the water with our sailing and paddle taster sessions, pleasureboat joyrides, licensed bar and delicious food from the guys at Global catering.

We had an amazing time on Saturday for our Club Open Day!

The weather held out long enough to get loads of you out on the water for our sailing and paddle tasters and we had pizzas and waffles flying out the door from our friends at Global catering.

A massive thanks go to our members and supporters that were able to help us make the day such a success, we wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

For those that weren't able to join the action, we are running tasters and activities all through the Summer, visit our website for availability and bookings.

Just in time for the warmer weather, we'll also be launching our paddle hire booking system very shortly so make sure you are following our page to stay up to date.
