What an inspiring afternoon! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at The Adventure of Flight at the Royal Geographical Society on Sunday.

Our sincere thanks also goes to our three fantastic speakers, John Romain MBE, John McFall and The Flying Reporter for sharing their personal experiences and stories with us. A huge thank you also to everyone involved in organising the event, and of course, to all those who came along to support us.

Aerobility is delighted to announce that Flyer and Ambassador Geoff Spink has now joined Aerobility's Board of Trustees. "If Aerobility was a stick of seaside rock, it would have 'can do' written all the way through it. This is an organisation that encourages people to do what they can and to enjoy it rather than finding reasons why they can't," said Geoff. "I can't wait to roll up my sleeves and get cracking: Aerobility has given me so much, and I will bring my energy, enthusiasm and persistence to bear in helping the charity to achieve its goal of making aviation accessible to all"

Last month Aerobility Flyer Michelle achieved a huge milestone. "I went solo! I was in shock that I did it but LOVED every second of it. Wish I could do it all the time as the feeling of freedom I get and happiness is unmeasurable."

"I'm so grateful for receiving a scholarship as this has enabled me to continue to fly and learn in an aircraft I love. I'm thankful for Aerobility for choosing me and continually supporting me on my journey of gaining a PPL. I am also grateful for the Virtual Aviation Experience I use at home and VoxAero which has been a godsend for my hearing as practising and learning the lingo in a non-live situation is valuable to anyone, especially for someone of hearing difficulties."

"Thank you to Dianne too, one of the instructors at Lydd Aero Club she is amazing, understanding, patient and has a good sense of humour. Dianne is very supportive and I'm so grateful she is my instructor. I am hoping to go all the way and that wouldn't be possible without all of this support behind me." - Michelle.

Recently, we welcomed our Aviation Education Programme class of 2026–2027!

The group came together for their first Introduction Day at our Blackbushe HQ, where they had the opportunity to meet their course instructors, tour the Aerobility facilities and learn more about what this 10-month course has in store for them.

A few weeks later, the group took part in their first off-site visit to the incredible British Airways Waterside facilities. With the fantastic knowledge of our volunteers, they were able to take a deep dive into the rich history of British Airways, aviation and the wider industry.

What a great way to kick off the course!

We’re incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for funding this course and helping to make aviation education accessible to our participants by removing a financial barrier.
