🌍 International Repair Day 2026 🔧

Today is International Repair Day, an annual celebration for everyone who makes repair happen in their communities around the world.

Every year, Repair Cafés across the globe bring communities together to share skills, reduce waste and give broken items a second chance. From small electrical appliances to clothing, toys and household items, repair helps save money, conserve resources and build stronger, more resilient communities.

At Repair Café Yateley, we're incredibly proud of our wonderful volunteers who freely give their time, expertise and enthusiasm to help local residents repair rather than replace.

If you haven't visited us before, why not come along to our next session?

📅 Saturday 14 November
🕙 10.00am to 1.00pm
📍 St Barnabas Church, Brinns Lane, Blackwater.

Bring along your broken items and let our volunteer repairers see if they can help give them a new lease of life.

To help us plan repairs and reduce waiting times, please book your item in advance via our booking page: https://repaircafe.yateleysociety.org.uk/

We look forward to seeing you there! 🔧♻️💚

Together, we're making repair part of the solution. 💚

What a fantastic session at our lovely new venue, St Swithun’s Church in Yateley!

Our brilliant repairers were on top form today. The highlight had to be bringing two much-loved toys back to life- including a very sweet toy horse named Buttercup and a fire engine hose, leaving two young owners absolutely beaming! Alongside the toys, the team tackled a bustling pile of mending: heaps of clothing stitched up, a charming vintage radio singing once again and a whole host of electrical gadgets saved from the bin.

A huge shout-out to the wonderful ladies from Yateley and Yateley Green WI, who kept everyone going with a fantastic spread of tea, coffee and irresistible homemade cakes.

A massive thank you to all our hard-working volunteers and to everyone who popped in. Your support is what makes this growing community project so special -we can’t wait to see you at the next one at St. Barnabus Church in Blackwater on 14th November from 10am- 1pm.
