We had visitors this week from the Surrey Heath Family Centre for a build it with dad (and a grandad!) session! It was a very enjoyable and satisfying session for all helping the children build a duck planter from kits produced by members of the shed!

A member of the public brought this lovely treasure chest in to the shed recently and asked if we could bring it back to life so he could use it as a memory box for his family. A new shelf, some repairs to the lid and a colourful lining later, this is the result. Well done John and Carmel who took this on!

Its not all about projects for the community, its also about learning new skills from fellow members! One of our skilled members organised a workshop for fellow members to learn the art of making Dovetail joints the traditional way using chisels as the main tool, which resulted in these fine boxes at the end. Its never too late to learn new skills and meet new friends at the shed!

Massive thank you to Camberley and District Mens Shed for putting up our new cabin! This will make a huge difference to our service users, providing a dry space to carry out tasks, and shelter during bad weather. We really appreciate your help! Our cabin was kindly funded by the Children With Special Needs Foundation. Our gofundme is still open, we are still fundraising towards the cost of the solar panels and interior! Link in comments

We had a visit from the Mayor and her Deputy on Wednesday. They were very interested in our ethos and what we are doing within the community. The Mayor got her hands on some practical work and her Deputy (himself a talented woodworker), swapped practical tips and knowledge with our members.
