INSTAGRAM: The Trust’s aim is to help local elderly, disabled and vulnerable members of our community enjoy life in their own homes for as long as possible, by providing secure affordable car transport and handyman services. Camberley Care Trust (Registered Charity number 1188130) has been providing a helping hand with transport for the elderly and disabled of Camberley and Frimley since 1974. Its subsidised Handyman Service re-started in 2018 and is a popular addition to the volunteer car service. Each service has its own dedicated telephone number, which is manned by a team of volunteers working from our Camberley office. Camberley Care Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

What does volunteering mean to you?

Ashley one of our Duty officers said 'I love it when our clients comment on how much they appreciate all that we do for them and especially how grateful they are when I tell them we have managed to find a driver for their trip, particularly if it is a short notice appointment which in most cases is not their fault.
You can hear in their voices how much it means to them and being able to be part of the process that allows our clients to get to their destination whether it be medical or social gives me a great level of satisfaction.
Knowing that as a team we help clients to go about their daily lives when they may otherwise struggle, or not do some things at all, makes the time I give more than worthwhile'.

Camberley Care are looking for volunteers to help take our clients to their medical and social appointments.
Sarah is one of our amazing volunteers and this is what volunteering at Camberley Care means to her.

For me personally it has enriched my life, given me a sense of value and of giving something back. I love chatting with the clients and enjoy talking to the drivers too, plus it’s great being a part of a lovely team of people.
Our clients feel cared for by our drivers and opposed getting a taxi. They are so grateful and always say thank you for all you all do.

SMALL CHARITY WEEK - 22ND TO 29TH JUNE 2026

This year’s campaign, Small charities. Big impact., shines a light on the difference small charities make every day, supporting people, and strengthening communities.

Small charities are key in their communities, creating support for the community they serve.
At a time when communities are under pressure and demand is rising, their role has never been more important.

Here at Camberley care we recognise the impact of what a small charity can do, as we support the residents of Camberley and Frimley by providing a volunteer car service. We complete over 250 trips a month enabling our clients to get to their vital medical appointments and social outings.

Its been a busy week - Getting out of the Office and speaking to members of the Community about Volunteering and the benefits of joining Camberley Care.

Met some lovely people and will hopefully have some new drivers on board soon.
