🛠️✨ Camberley Repair Café returns – Saturday 20th June! ✨🛠️

We’re back at Hullabaloo House from 10:00 to 12:30 for another friendly morning of repairs, shared skills, and community spirit.

Got something broken, worn out, or just not working as it should? Before you replace it, bring it along and let our volunteer repairers take a look. From clothing and household items to electrical appliances, tools, toys and tech, you might be surprised what can be saved.

☕ No booking needed — just drop in, grab a coffee from Hullabaloo, and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere while we see what can be done.

🔙 Our May session was another busy one, particularly on the electrical repair front, with plenty of fascinating challenges keeping our volunteers occupied throughout the morning.

Highlights from 16th May included:

🎞️ A vintage reel-to-reel tape recorder that underwent major surgery over two Repair Café sessions
♨️ A smart towel rail brought back to life with a replacement capacitor
🌳 A long-reach hedge trimmer ready for garden duty once again
⚙️ An angle grinder that wouldn’t turn on restored to working order
⛳ A golf trolley back on the fairway
🛋️ A smart cushion repaired and ready for use again
👕 A favourite hoodie given a new lease of life
🕰️ A timepiece restored and keeping time once more

⚠️ A quick note for June: we may be a little lighter on volunteers than usual, so if you’re planning to bring an item for repair, we’d recommend arriving in good time to give us the best chance of helping you during the session.

We’re back at Hullabaloo House from 10:00 to 12:30 for another friendly and hands-on morning of repairs, shared skills, and community spirit. Whether you’ve visited before or are thinking of coming along for the first time, you’ll find a warm welcome and plenty of expertise on hand.

🔙 Our April session was another busy and lively one, with a surge in electrical repairs at times — all handled brilliantly by our fantastic team of volunteers 👏

Highlights from 18th April included:
👗 A polka dot skirt given a new lease of life
💡 A unique lamp made from a wallpaper printing roller brought back into use
🌀 A portable Dyson vacuum restored to working order
👜 A beautiful fabric handbag carefully repaired
☕ A couple of kettles brought back to life
🍞 A toaster that wouldn’t stay down — now toasting properly again
🥣 A Bosch food processor revived and ready for action
🏰 A bouncy castle air pump repaired and back in service
🕰️ A carriage clock restored and keeping time once again

It’s always a great mix of practical fixes, problem-solving, and community spirit.

🔙 Our March session kept the momentum going, with another busy morning and a fantastic range of repairs keeping our volunteers on their toes 👏

🎞️ Work beginning on a 1960s Philips reel-to-reel tape recorder — “wow”
🕰️ A couple of clocks set ticking again
💨 A hair dryer ready to style once more
🌀 A well-looked-after classic Dyson brought back into action
☕ A kettle resuscitated and ready to boil away
🩳 Shorts given a new lease of life
🌀 A fan that defeated the team… but provided plenty of laughs along the way
🛏️ A blanket repaired and ready for use again
🔧 An electric drill given some much-needed TLC
⌚ Several watches restored with a bit of Repair Café care

It’s always a mix of successes, challenges, and shared learning — and that’s all part of the fun.

🧹 A vacuum cleaner restored to full working order
🪑 A side table glued back together… time will tell how strong it is!
⌚ Watches repaired and ticking once again
🍲 A slow cooker revived after a complete strip-down and rebuild
👜 A handbag repaired and ready for use again
🕰️ A fancy clock now telling the time as it should

🎉Record Camberley Repair Café event today🛠️

We had a massive 60 items booked in for repair today. Fortunately the majority of our fantastic volunteers were there to help our visitors (most volunteers present are in the photo - but some were still repairing).

We did have a queue at the beginning as demand was higher than usual.

🔙 Our January session was busy and buzzing, with a great turnout of volunteers and plenty of fascinating repairs.

🧵 A sewing machine with a complex mechanical fault, partly repaired on the day and then successfully completed by its capable owner
🔋 A vintage battery charger brought back to life
🧥 A red jacket repaired and ready to wear
🧹 A Vax vacuum cleaner restored to working order
💎 Pieces of jewellery carefully glued and reassembled
💡 Several lamps glowing brightly again
