We held our Annual General Meeting this week, marking the final meeting of the 2025–2026 Toastmasters year at Camberley Speakers. It’s been a fantastic year filled with growth, learning, and great moments together.
A huge thank you to our outgoing committee for their dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work over the past year. Your commitment has made a real difference to the club and its members — we truly appreciate everything you’ve done 👏
At the same time, we’re excited to welcome and congratulate our new committee for 2026–2027 🎉 We wish you every success in the year ahead and look forward to seeing the club continue to thrive under your leadership.

🌉 Camberley Speakers – Meeting Summary (21st May) 🌉

Last week’s Camberley Speakers meeting was a fantastic display of connection, growth, and support — truly bringing the theme “Bridges,” introduced by Sandip as Toastmaster, to life.
Throughout the evening, we watched members cross their own personal bridges — stepping out of comfort zones, strengthening communication skills, and supporting each other along the way.
A special congratulations to Rich, whose outstanding performance earned him Best Prepared Speech.
Equally impressive was Jenny P, whose thoughtful and constructive feedback earned her Best Evaluator.
In the ever-exciting Table Topics segment, Elliott once again shone brightly, securing Best Impromptu Speech for the second meeting in a row — an incredible achievement!
A huge shoutout goes to Tony, who received the well-deserved Spark Award for his ongoing support during meetings.
Overall, the evening was a powerful reminder that every meeting helps us build bridges — between where we are now and where we want to be.

Last night, Camberley Speakers transformed into a world of espionage, intrigue, and razor-sharp wit with a “MI6 x James Bond” themed meeting—masterfully directed by our Toastmasters, Agents Jeelan and Rich. From the moment proceedings began, it was clear: this was no ordinary gathering… this was a mission.

🎤 Camberley Speakers Club – Meeting Highlights (30 April) 🎤

What a fantastic meeting we had this week at Camberley Speakers Club!
We enjoyed some truly engaging speeches, starting with Nur, who spoke about the one and only Matt Bromley, brilliantly exploring the skillset and mindset needed for surfing and how those qualities translate beyond the waves. 🌊
George then took us on an inspiring journey through his experiences of running marathons and even his famous “moon walks” — a talk full of determination, humour, and personal insight. 🏃‍♂️🌙
And we were delighted to welcome a special guest speaker, Ellie, President of Godalming Speakers Club, who treated us to a wonderful speech about her father’s impressive DIY skills — both heartfelt and highly entertaining. 🛠️
Congratulations to Ellie for "Best Speaker", Bob for "Best Evaluator", Pritpal and Jeelan for "Best Impromptu Speech", and Andrew for receiving the "Spark Award!" 👏🎉

🎶 What a fantastic evening at Camberley Speakers! Last night's meeting, themed "Music is in the Air," was a brilliant session led by our Toastmaster Terence.

We were captivated by Dave's heartfelt speech about his music teacher who became a mentor for him. George had us all in stitches with his memorable "moonwalk" story from Edinburgh, and Nur's speech on singing your story was empowering.

A special shoutout to Sandeep for his engaging "musical" table topics session, which earned him the well-deserved "Spark Award." Your enthusiasm and creativity brought a unique rhythm to the evening.
