Books recommended by Beavers part 1 ...

We had a lovely meeting last week learning about books and we loved seeing which books they would recommend to people 😀

What a great night at cubs - we had a visit from Graham at Berkshire Reptiles Encounters who brought down a few of his friends to meet the cubs!

We had bearded dragons (one of them thought it was fun to keep launching themselves onto the floor), a blue tongued skink, a tortoise and some snakes ranging from small to a hefty 27kg one - aptly named Custard Cream (can’t think why!). Thankfully no spiders in any shape or form otherwise this leader would have been out the door!!

All the cubs participated with holding the various reptiles and had a great time learning about them. Yes - even the leaders had a go too!

Apologies to parents if your cub has gone home saying they want a snake as a pet! We promise that all our reptilian visitors went home with their owner!

Last night we took the cubs on a visit to the The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. What a fantastic experience and great to learn so much about the history of RMA (formerly known as Royal Military College). The cubs even got to see some officer cadets being put through their paces, although they still think Akela can shout louder! 🤣

Our thanks go to Dr Sebastian Puncher for taking us round and making the visit enjoyable and informative. He was also very impressed by our Cubs excellent behaviour throughout the visit.

Once again Camberley 478 (Lancaster) cubs have made their Leaders proud!

🏔️🇨🇭 Two Scout Groups, One Amazing Adventure! ⚜️
Scouts of Camberley 478 and 1st Bagshot joined forces for an unforgettable adventure at Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland! 🇨🇭
From mountain climbing 🧗, rafting 🌊 and hiking 🥾 to exploring some truly amazing places, there was something for everyone. And of course, the Mountain Coaster was an absolute highlight — so much fun! 🎢
An incredible trip filled with adventure, laughter, teamwork and memories that will last a lifetime. 🌟
